Peanut butter has long been popular in the West, and it came to Russia first as a very sweet dessert, jars filled with ground peanuts and tons of added sugar and various E-chemicals. It was delicious, but (to my great joy) more and more media are writing about its harmful effects on the body.
In fact, peanut butter is not a bad thing at all. We are talking about natural, pure peanut butter, which you can easily cook at home! From scratch! Buy the unshelled nuts, roast them yourself and crush them in a blender, with patience. So the most delicious peanut butter is made in your kitchen. And how interesting it is to experiment with additives! – coconut, chocolate, carob, salt, syrups …
Oh, where was I, sorry, got distracted by the sweet thought of PB options… Today, I suggest you bake blondies – gingerbreads, biscuits, like brownies, but not chocolate.
I like to make pastries with oat flour (just a ground oatmeal), it turns out the right texture, as well as very healthy and filling.
Of course, in any recipe, you can replace oatmeal with wheat, whole grain flour. Rice, buckwheat and coconut flours have a different texture and a poor property of gluing the ingredients, so be careful if you decide to use them.
I also use coconut sugar and coconut nectar in this recipe, but you can also replace them with any other sugar and syrup of your choice.
And of course, with regards to milk – this is totally your choice. I got freshly made cashew milk, but this is up to your taste.
