This is absolute classics.
When it comes to brunch, the first thing I think of is crunchy toasts with avocado spread, some salty-spicy touches, and delicious running eggs, melting on the toast… Doesn’t it sound appetizing?
When you don’t have much time but want to fill your body with healthy fats and a bunch of nutrients that’s an ideal meal option.
Since it’s a simple dish with simple ingredients, you only can make it good if these ingredients are fresh and of the finest quality.
Toast is about the bread, so make sure you get the right one, by saying this I mean to choose the bread you really love, either this is a sourdough, ciabatta or a bagel.
When making a toast it’s essential to make a perfect, warm toast. Don’t burn your bread, it will spoil the taste completely.
Since avocado is a fruit full of healthy fats you don’t really need any extra oils to add to your toast, just a couple of drops of olive oil for decoration.
Fats in avocado also call for something sour, so it’s great to use some lemon juice (works for every avocado meal except for chocolate mousse).
Just note, if you never ate an avocado toast or avocado in general, – avo’s best friends are lemon, salt and pepper (chili or black pepper).
I love to add arugula to the toast, too.
If you are not vegan and you eat your toasts with eggs, then poached eggs are the best option. That amazing combination of running egg with a piece of creamy avocado is incredible, you’ll love it!
